About the Workshop
During this immersive, day-long class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of encaustic painting, from studio setup and safety to creating layered, textured artworks using molten beeswax and pigment.
Under Isabelle’s guidance, you’ll explore:

Basic encaustic techniques: layering, fusing, and building texture

Safe studio practices and proper use of heat tools

Creating translucent and opaque effects

Mark-making: incising, etching, sgraffito, and scraping

Textural methods such as dripping, splattering, and relief work

Thanks to the generous support of R&F Handmade Paints, all encaustic materials, paints, encaustic medium and pigment sticks are provided.
You’ll also receive a PDF printout with key techniques, supplier lists, and safety information to continue your encaustic journey at home.
Small class size – limited to 10 participants for individual attention and a relaxed creative atmosphere.
