Description of the workshop


Due to popular demand, I am delighted to announce a level 2 Encaustic Painting workshop On Saturday 8th June in Dublin city centre.

This particular workshop is suitable for artists or art enthusiasts with a basic knowledge of encaustic, wanting to know more. The class will expand your understanding of encaustic, help you refine your work by gaining more control over the medium and help you move your encaustic painting to a new level We will work in mixed media, including various drawing techniques, image transfer, working with pigments sticks, collage, inscribing and scraping techniques. You will leave with a printout containing all the information you need as well as a list of suppliers.



Date: Saturday 8th June

Time: 10-4pm

Location: Block T

Cost: €120, including all materials. Also a pdf printout containing all the information you need as well as a list of suppliers.

Class limited to 8 participants.

Important note: Due to the high demand for  my workshops this year, all places on all workshops are limited and sold on a first-booked, first-served basis, which means that you will need to secure your space  as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

  • Relief and textural techniques (Cavo rilieveo, dripping, splattering, accretions…)
  • Inscribing/etching/ scraffito/ use of masking tape

  • The enchanting shellac burn (amber and colored)
  • Tie dye effect
