Encaustic Workshops

Whether you’re taking your first steps into art or seeking to expand an existing practice, these workshops offer a unique and fulfilling opportunity to unlock your creativity in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Under the guidance of Isabelleโ€”an experienced artist and educator with over 20 years of leading workshops in Ireland and internationallyโ€”youโ€™ll be introduced to the core techniques of encaustic painting. From building rich textures to layering color and harnessing the dynamic energy of heat and wax, youโ€™ll engage in a process that is as meditative as it is invigorating.

No experience is necessary. These workshops are open to all levels and are held in intimate, inspiring settings throughout Ireland, encouraging curiosity, creative freedom, and a spirit of exploration.

Each session is rooted in a hands-on, process-focused approach that invites play, experimentation, and personal expression. My intention is for you to leave with more than a finished pieceโ€”you’ll walk away feeling creatively recharged and more deeply connected to your own artistic voice.

With a focus on experiential learning, my teaching style embraces intuitive discovery over rigid rules. These workshops are a space to explore, question, and growโ€”so you not only create meaningful art, but also gain fresh insights, confidence, and a deeper appreciation for your own creative process.

โ€œIsabelle inspires creativity. A great artist with talent and passion, evident in both her art and teaching. Spending time with her encourages experimentation and pushes boundaries. I highly recommend her workshopsโ€”a relaxing experience that leaves you craving more.โ€

Encaustic Weekends

Immerse Yourself

Our weekend workshops offer something very different.

Rather than focusing solely on technique, these immersive retreats invite you to slow down, observe deeply and allow the landscape to influence your work.

Over two or three days we’ll combine demonstrations, guided exercises and plenty of studio time with conversation, reflection and creative exploration. Working in small groups means there’s time for individual guidance while giving you the freedom to discover your own visual language.

These weekends are about more than learning encaustic.

They’re about reconnecting with creativity, finding inspiration in remarkable places and giving yourself the space to make work that feels authentic.

Suitable for beginners and experienced artists alike.
