Workshop Highlights
- Techniques & Processes: Learn to integrate mixed media and printed images with encaustic paint.
- Hands-On Demonstration: Isabelle will show how to use encaustic paints as a bonding agent to elevate your mixed media pieces, adding depth and luminosity that other mediums can’t achieve.
- Creative Exploration: Utilize Japanese papers and other lightweight, porous papers as a base. Explore photo transfer, layering, and printing techniques to add dimension to your encaustic paintings, resulting in unique, one-of-a-kind pieces.
About Encaustic Painting
Encaustic painting is an ancient art form used in Ancient Egypt for creating paintings and sculptures. It involves pigmented molten pure natural beeswax where a small proportion of Dammar resin has been added. This technique hardens the artwork, adding transparency, vibrancy, and luster.

Cost: €120, including all materials. Also a pdf printout containing all the information you need as well as a list of suppliers.
